Meet Reginald Lewis, an urban artist born in the vibrant city of Baltimore, Maryland, who has not only embraced his roots but has risen above adversity to become an inspirational figure in the world of art. From a young age, Reginald faced challenges growing up in Baltimore, but his unwavering determination and passion for art fueled his journey.

Reginald's artistic journey took flight in the 2nd grade when he participated in a Preakness city-wide drawing competition. Despite the challenges, he won 3rd place among all Baltimore City School students. The real turning point came when he won an exclusive tour of the Pimlico Race Course as a result of his artistic achievement. It was during this tour that he realized the profound impact of his work for the first time.

Educated at Morgan State University, where his parents had met in the 1990s, Reginald's background in biology adds a unique dimension to his artistic expression. As an educator, he aims to bridge the worlds of STEM and art, showcasing the interconnectedness of seemingly disparate fields.

Specializing in paintings, murals, and public artwork, Reginald's creations have found a home in prestigious institutions. His work is featured in the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, part of the Smithsonian, and a portrait of Frederick Douglass, a gift to officials in 2018, graces the Maryland State House.

One of his most impactful murals, in collaboration with Northwestern Mutual, adorns the Enoch Pratt Library Hamilton Branch in Baltimore. This mural, depicting a young man with a mind electrified with creativity and courage, serves as an inspiration for students to dream beyond societal expectations.

Reginald's influence extends beyond Baltimore, with his work showcased in galleries along the East Coast, including Los Angeles, Washington DC, and New York City. His murals can be found in various cities, including Baltimore, Queens, and Brooklyn, leaving an indelible mark on urban landscapes.

His artistic prowess has caught the attention of renowned figures like Rihanna, Drake, Tyler the Creator, Wiz Khalifa, Nipsey Hussle, Swizz Beatz, A$AP Mob, and Grammy award-winner Jay Rock. Notably, his artwork was featured in a Wiz Khalifa music video for the song "Taylor" in 2019.

Reginald Lewis is not just an artist; he's a community advocate. He has collaborated with the Baltimore Ravens, hosted events like the "Women's Luncheon" at Citron in Pikesville, MD, and worked with Footlocker to promote youth creativity in the inner city.

In 2022, he participated in a Trap Music Museum gallery during CIAA weekend in Baltimore, further solidifying his impact on the contemporary art scene. Reginald continues to inspire the world with his mantra, "Another Day, Another Opportunity," embodying resilience, creativity, and the pursuit of dreams.
